Full Disclosure: we are Etsy addicts because Etsy is fun and appeals to our ideals of originality and inclusion. Not everyone can make a dress and sell it to Bergdorf Goodman, but that doesn’t mean we would love that design any less. We might even love it more, because it isn’t readily available everywhere. Anyone catch Susan’s unique Matzo dress on Instagram?
We love that Etsy connects us to independent sellers around the world and millions of handmade, vintage or uniquely designed products. Shopping on Etsy works the same as anywhere else online. However, you’re not buying your items from Etsy, the company. Instead you’re buying directly from independent sellers. If you have a question or a problem you connect directly with that seller and in our experience, they are happy to hear from you and really responsive.
On of our favorite ways to get a little “Etsy” is with stationery. The Joy Creative Shop features adorable, affordable, giftable personalized stationery , stickers and notepads These make fantastic hostess gifts and more, and Joy is truly accessible and reliable.
For other paperie ideas and original monograms, try Erin Haines Designs When shopping for more formal stationery we have recently fallen in love with the WOW of the foil stamped monograms at Iron Leaf Press and if planning a more formal correspondence the letterpress quality from Yellowfish Designs is super luxe and beautiful.
Our Etsy addiction just means that we stay up late diving deep into the stationery lagoon, and we now have a drawer full of gorgeous personalized paper that is original and in many cases a lot more affordable than that fancy shop with the blue boxes on 57th and Fifth.
Go Etsy or go home – you won’t be sorry!
All of our recommendations are curated by Susan & the In The Groove editorial team. In some, but not all cases, we receive a small commission for leading you to what, how and where to buy all this wonderful stuff.
